Richard set up RSC Structures in 2023 with the aim of creating a client focused, sustainable, and digitally progressive organisation.
The practice specialises in refurbishment projects, providing low-carbon, high-quality designs for unlocking the potential of existing buildings and sites.
The work builds on the projects undertaken while working at Empace (2022-2023), Parmarbrook (2015-2022) and Battle McCarthy (2011-2015). Some of the key projects are shown below.
Battersea Power Station P6 Meanwhile
While at Empace Richard designed the 110m long treeline elevated 2 storeys up, made of recycled shipping containers and precast walls.
Portland House, London
While at Parmarbrook Richard was responsible for the Net Zero Carbon refurbishment and extension works to Portland House in Victoria
KACST, Saudi Arabia
While at Battle McCarthy Richard was responsible for the structural design of the new-build Science City, built on a site measuring 1km sq and consisting 35 laboratories, tower and infrastructure.
